We are a family-friendly destination just 5 miles from the picturesque village of Stockholm, Wisconsin on the Great River Road, 90 minutes downriver from Minneapolis-St Paul, and about an hour from Rochester, Eau Claire and LaCrosse. Visitors to the yarn farm can meet the sheep, goats and other farm animals who live here, purchase farm-raised wool and handspun yarns, see demonstrations or take a class in spinning, weaving and other crafts. About Black Cat: We are well-stocked with an array of items for you or for gift-giving, including handmade and hand-dyed yarns, raw, washed and dyed fleece from our flock, learn-to-spin kits, and hand knit items. New this winter - handwoven items made here at the farm on our antique looms! We also have working antique spinning wheels for sale. Gift certificates, too.
We are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10am to 4pm until Christmas, and other times by appointment. Please call ahead in January and February. Regular hours resume in March when the sap runs and the lambs are born.

Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum, Decorah, IA. Andrea and Tansy will be demonstrating the hand processing of flax fiber for linen production during the fiftieth annual Nordic Fest celebration in Decorah. http://www.nordicfest.com/
September 10 & 11: Laura Ingalls Wilder Days

November 5: Stockholm Women's Weekend Black Cat will be featured at the Purple Turtle Artisan Collective in Stockholm, showcasing "slow fashion" and examining the concept of the "Fibershed": how much of our textile needs could be met within a 175-mile radius of where we live?
